Tiivistelmä
Each year, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) prepares statutory expert assessments on the organisation of social welfare and health care services nationally, by collaborative area-specifically and wellbeing services county-specifically. The national expert assessment examines the demographic development and service needs of the entire country, the operational structure of wellbeing services counties, the availability of skilled personnel, and costs, funding and investments within health and social services. In the autumn 2023 assessment, the focus will be on the strategic goals of the wellbeing services counties and on measures that promote equal access to services, the adequacy of personnel and management of finances. The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare's national expert assessment will be based on the observations made during wellbeing services county-specific expert assessments in autumn 2023 and in other current regional and national reports and studies.
